These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the games, websites, and creator applications operated by Selfdefiant Studios ("Selfdefiant Studios", "we", "us"), including our browser games and our subscription apps such as Loregend, TrainingMaker, Magic Button Studio, and Astryke Hub (each a "Service"). Some Services have additional or supplemental terms that apply to that Service specifically; where those exist, they apply in addition to these Terms.
By using a Service or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of a Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on our creator apps. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, and you must not share your login information with others. Where a Service offers a supervised classroom or team mode, the users within it are set up by the account holder or administrator, who is responsible for any permissions required.
Our creator apps offer free tiers and paid subscription tiers, and may offer one-time purchases (such as a lifetime or founder plan). Paid subscriptions and purchases are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Paid plans are billed in advance and, unless described as a one-time purchase, automatically renew for the same period (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose) at the then-current price until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.
You can cancel at any time from the billing or account area of the relevant Service, which opens the Stripe customer portal. When you cancel, your plan stays active through the end of the period you have already paid for and then does not renew. Payments are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law; canceling stops future charges but does not refund the current period.
Downgrading your tier may result in loss of access to features, storage, or content that exceed the lower tier's limits. Your existing projects are retained, but you may not add new ones beyond the lower tier's caps until you upgrade again or free space.
On our creator apps, you retain ownership of the projects and creative content you build. Where a Service lets you publish content to a public gallery, portal, or shared space, you grant Selfdefiant Studios a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and promote that published content on the Service and related marketing materials, along with the display name you attach to it.
You are solely responsible for the content you create or publish. You must not create or publish content that contains:
You represent that you have all rights necessary to the content you upload or include, including any images, audio, fonts, or other assets, and you are responsible for obtaining the licenses required for third-party, stock, purchased, or AI-generated material and for complying with their terms. We do not pre-screen or verify ownership of uploaded content, and we may remove content whose ownership or rights are disputed. Your username and any display name must not impersonate another person or organization, infringe a trademark, or be offensive.
Where a Service includes export, you are free to host, share, embed, and distribute the finished works you create anywhere you choose, and, on tiers that include commercial use, to use them for commercial purposes subject to your plan's limits. This does not grant any right to extract, decompile, reverse-engineer, or repackage a Service's editor, engine, runtime, or tools as a standalone product, as part of a competing tool, or separately from a work you created, and it does not let you resell, sublicense, or offer the underlying technology itself as a product or service. Works lawfully exported while your account was active may continue to be used after cancellation, provided they comply with these Terms.
Content published to a public portal or gallery is subject to review. We reserve the right to remove or suspend content that violates these Terms, to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate them, to reject or revoke publishing privileges, and to ban users who abuse a Service. We strive to review content fairly, but moderation decisions are final.
We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe content published on a Service infringes a copyright you own or control, send a notice to our designated agent at [email protected] that includes: your contact information; a description of the copyrighted work; the location (URL) of the material you claim is infringing; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on its behalf; and your physical or electronic signature. We will remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice and will, in appropriate cases, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address.
Each Service, including its software, engine, editor, player, tools, and all associated code, graphics, and documentation, is the exclusive property of Selfdefiant Studios. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service software. The Selfdefiant Studios name, the names and logos of its Services, and their branding are trademarks of Selfdefiant Studios.
Where a Service includes a curated asset library provided by Selfdefiant Studios, you may use those assets inside works you create with that Service, including works you publish and, on tiers that include export, works you export and distribute. You may not download, extract, scrape, copy, resell, redistribute, or sublicense the raw library assets outside of a work made with the Service, and you may not use them to train machine-learning or AI models. You acquire no ownership of the library assets; they remain the property of Selfdefiant Studios or its licensors.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You agree not to: probe, scan, or test the security of a Service without permission; access it through automated means such as scrapers or bots except as we expressly allow; attempt to bypass plan limits, quotas, rate limits, or access controls; interfere with or disrupt a Service or its infrastructure; or use it to distribute malware or to violate the rights of others. We welcome good-faith security reports sent to [email protected].
Some Services are in active development. Features, limits, storage, export behavior, pricing, and publishing rules may change as we improve them. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of significant changes, but except as stated under "Locked founding pricing" below, you should not rely on any particular feature, limit, or price remaining unchanged.
Where a Service explicitly offers a locked founding price, that price remains in effect for your subscription for as long as it stays continuously active and in good standing, even if the standard price for new customers rises afterwards. Cancellation, a failed payment that is not resolved within any applicable recovery period, or switching to a different plan or billing interval may end the locked price, and resubscribing afterwards is at the price then current. Where this paragraph and the general statement about pricing changes under "Early Access" differ, this paragraph governs.
Each Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Selfdefiant Studios is not liable for any loss of data, content, or revenue arising from your use of a Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may perform maintenance or updates at any time. You use each Service at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your own backups or exports of important projects. We do not guarantee that works you create will receive any traffic, revenue, sales, adoption, search visibility, or placement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Selfdefiant Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to a Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty or liability limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Selfdefiant Studios and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to the content you create or publish, your use of a Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, published content may be removed. Data associated with terminated accounts may be deleted after a reasonable retention period. Deleting your account or removing content from a portal does not automatically remove copies you previously exported, shared, embedded, or distributed outside the Service.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using a Service, you consent to the data practices described there.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or a Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or account security.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any Service-specific terms, are the entire agreement between you and Selfdefiant Studios regarding the Services. We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
