What's Available

Two Ways To Work Together

Escape rooms are the only thing this studio has done for twenty years. That focus is the reason a themed title takes days here instead of months, and the reason there is already a deep catalog to pull from.

🎮
Fastest Route Non-Exclusive
License From The Catalog

Pick from finished, player-tested escape games and put them live on your portal. These are not prototypes. They have already been played by millions across the web.

  • Playable review links before you commit to anything
  • Non-exclusive by default, which keeps the price down
  • Exclusive terms available on request
  • Delivered as self-contained files you host yourself

Track Record

These Games Have Been Around

Selfdefiant games have been carried by portals across the web since the Flash era, and the studio still runs its own gaming site today, so every design decision gets tested against a real audience rather than a focus group.

Coolmath Games Addicting Games Newgrounds Kongregate HoodaMath MouseCity Melting-Mindz …and dozens more

The studio also operates Melting-Mindz.com, a games portal running since the mid 2000s. New titles get played there first, which means what reaches a licensee has already been through real players. The full history is documented in the journey and the record.

How It Works

Three Steps, No Runaround

No sales calls, no discovery workshops, no proposal decks. Tell me what you need and you will have something playable to look at quickly.

1
Tell me what you need
One email. What kind of game, what audience, whether you want something existing or something new, and roughly when you need it.
2
Play before you decide
You get playable links to real candidates from the catalog, or a concept for a custom title. Nothing is agreed until you have actually played something.
3
Terms, then files
Simple written terms covering the license type and territory, then the finished files delivered ready to drop onto your servers.

The Technical Part

What You Actually Receive

Everything is built in-house, so there are no third-party engine licenses to untangle and no dependencies that can disappear on you.

Technology HTML5, JavaScript and Canvas. No plugins, no Flash, no runtime for players to install.
Delivery Self-contained files you host on your own servers. No calls back to this studio, no external dependencies, no phone-home.
Branding Your logo and your styling on the title screen. Full white-label available.
Ads and monetization Your ad code, your revenue. The games carry no advertising of their own.
Ownership The studio retains the underlying IP and licenses you the right to publish. Exclusive and full-buyout arrangements can be discussed.
Content rating Family friendly by default. The catalog spans light puzzle games through darker atmospheric escapes, so titles can be matched to your audience.

Straight Answers

The Questions Everyone Asks First

What does it cost?
It depends on whether the license is exclusive, how many titles you want, and whether the game already exists. Ask and you will get a number, not a discovery process.
How fast can you deliver?
Existing catalog titles can be delivered as soon as terms are agreed. Custom themed games are measured in days rather than months, because the tooling is already built.
Can we get it exclusively?
Yes. Non-exclusive is the default because it keeps pricing sensible, but exclusive licensing is available for anyone who wants a title nobody else can run.
Do you take on general game development?
Escape rooms and puzzle games are the focus, and that focus is what makes the speed possible. If your project sits nearby, ask anyway.
Who am I dealing with?
One developer, directly. No account managers, no handoffs between teams, and no chance of the person who built the game being reassigned mid-project.
Are these new or old games?
Both. The catalog goes back to 2006, and new titles are still being built. Anything licensed to you is checked over before delivery rather than shipped as-is from an archive.
